1) Teaching ideology of Dhruv is based on the theory
of multiple intelligence purposed by Dr. Howard Gardner.
Though due importance is given to linguistic and mathematical
intelligence, equal importance is also given to musical,
spatial, kinesthetic, naturalist, interpersonal and intrapersonal
intelligence. Thus children learn as per their aptitude and
interest which builds up their confidence & helps them
to learn.
|
|
2) The continuous comprehensive evaluation system of Dhruv
makes learning stress-free as children are not forced to
learn or mug up for examination. Thus the whole approach to
learning is different from the examination oriented approach.
Every month performance of the children is assessed on the
basis of worksheets, projects, assignments, presentations etc.
|
 |
3)
Children are helped to learn through projects, field
trips, debates, interviews etc. They are not taught,
They learn to observe, explore & experiment.
They are not judged, branded, labeled or treated
as failures, thus they become confident and enjoy the process
of learning.
4) International quality & infrastructure but Indian
values & culture to inculcate values and Indian culture, ‘Sanskar
sessions’ are conducted on
|
|
Saturdays wherein children
are told stories from Ramayana, Mahabharta or stories
that would teach them moral values. Every Friday children
chant shloka’s in the morning assembly and celebrate
Birthdays of their friends with a small ‘Havan.’
Children celebrate all festivals with faith and feavour.
Meditation and Yogasna are part of the daily routine
and so are the prayers. Children are also made aware
of their social obligations and donate profit from their
activities to social cause. |
